Christmas Rope Light
Is the Christmas rope light becoming a holiday tradition?
Christmas rope light decorations are gaining popularity. Of course, Laura Legend was curious about the Christmas rope light and wanted to know its significance.
Laura Legend on the Christmas rope light…
Laura Legend searched high and low and found no historical significance for the Christmas rope light. You know though, something doesn’t have to have a history behind it to become a tradition.
A tradition is something carried on from generation to generation, so the historical significance of a Christmas rope light tradition might be something as simple as, “My grandmother always decorated her house and yard with Christmas rope lights and we loved them, so we do the same.”
That’s how Christmas traditions get started!
A Christmas rope light is a rope-like tube that has little lights inside it. They come in quite a variety of styles and colors and they are really wonderful for outdoor decorations.
You can get a Christmas rope light that is a chaser -- the lights seem to “chase” each other as they flash. Or you can get a Christmas rope light that flashes, or one that stays constantly lit.
It is easy to hang a Christmas rope light to trim the eaves of a house or to line a window. You can even use them to outline yard decorations giving them the lamination to make them stand out.
Also, you should make sure that your Christmas light strand or Christmas rope light is in good condition and can’t get pinched by doors or windows. You don’t want those electrical wires exposed to moisture or water.
Christmas rope light crafts
Crafty folks can twist wires together and sculpt them into shapes like Christmas trees or Santa, and attach a Christmas rope light to the creation to make really cute Christmas decorations for the lawn or garden or even for the wall inside a home. So, the Christmas rope light is a favorite in the Christmas craft scene.
